She began her journey into photography later in life after the birth of her grandson, which was her initial inspiration. She would always say “What better way to rediscover your world, but that through the eyes of a child? The beauty that is discovered right outside your door has been taken for granted for too long in the hustle and bustle of our busy lives.”

As a photographer, she has not received any formal training in her talent, but came upon it naturally. She has been commended by many local artisans for her unique eye and visions. Always striving to find new ways to inspire, she also believes in not using photo manipulation programs, and believes that a photo should be what it is, not because of what can be changed by manipulation. She does, however, use simple programs to change color into black and white or into sketches, feeling this is not making a mediocre photo better, but making an exceptional photo different.
